Homemade whipped cream

Throw your cans of whipped cream away because this whipped cream is a game changer. Its simple and easy to make and you'll thank me later for the extra effort. Top your baked goods with this and really make it feel entirely homemade. It's best you use a handheld electronic mixer or a stand-up mixer but if you don't have either you can also do it by hand...Just a lot of whisking. This whipped cream is velvety, creamy and perfect, a staple recipe to have!

The trick here is to have your bowl, whisk and everything used to make it extremely cold. Trust me!!! I like to make it the day i'm going to be using it and storing it in the fridge until I'm ready to serve. I don't like have it in the fridge for days.

Also, feel free to make it your own! Instead of powdered sugar you can use maple syrup or honey to sweeten it. You can also add in other flavors that'll go with your baked goods such as rum, bourbon, caramel, ect... This is my basic whipped cream recipe, enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 2 tbsp. powdered sugar

  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Place your mixing bowl in the freezer for about 20 min. before using.

  2. Place all your ingredients into your mixing bowl and mix on high speed for a few minutes until stiff peaks form, keep an eye on it to make sure you don't overbeat.
